News: Introducing The Species and their new EP 'Translucent Fears'
Taking musical inspiration from so many broad and distinct outlets and squeezing it all into one neat four-piece package can sometimes be a recipe for disaster. This, however, is not the case for one of Nottingham’s most dedicated bands, The Species. Considered to be more of a science project than a band, The Species have been tailoring and fine tuning their craft for the past two years.
During their brief time on the scene they have already graced the stage with some of the biggest acts to come out of the Midlands, ranging from bands such as Dead Harts, Evil Scarecrow, and Uneven Structure, all the way to Dog Is Dead, Lux Lisbon, and Indiana.
The past several months have been spent writing, recording and tirelessly mixing their debut four track EP 'Translucent Fears', which will be due out for release on July 1st. Check out 'Broken Glass' on Soundcloud here. Their first song off of 'Translucent Fears'.
