Interviews: Felicity

In this new occassion we have had the opportunity to interview the Rock/Pop Punk band Felicity, from USA. Check out this band and give them a like on their FACEBOOK PAGE.

1.Where did you get the idea for the band name “Felicity", did you planned it or came out just like that?

Anyone who’s been in a band knows naming it is one of the hardest things in the world. Finding something that 5 guys love or think is cool is just about impossible.  Our singer Damien brought the idea of “FELICITY” as a band name. Felicity the word means happiness but we always described it as it represents us doing what we love and what makes us happy. It ended up being one of those things where everyone can relate to it and none of us “hated” it, so we rolled with it.

2. Your music is tagged as Rock/ Pop Punk but why did you choose that genre?

Its just what we were all drawn too! We all have very diverse music taste. Our members have been in classic rock cover bands, death metal bands, and indie bands over the years. We find ourselves at home playing hard rock and pop punk, it’s where we feel we have the most fun! A

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

We didn’t. Most of us actually met on craigslist believe it or not!

4. Each band member favorite band?

Damien (Vocals): A Day To Remember
Andrew (Guitar): Coheed & Cambria
Cory (Guitar): Four Year Strong
Mike (Bass): Taking Back Sunday
Tyler (Drums): Foo Fighters

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

Real life experiences. We want to show our fans that we all go through the same experiences and that you and I are no different from one another. We are all in this together.

6. Where was your last gig?

Our last gig was at Hard Rock Live in Orlando at Universal Studios. We actually played with Eve 6 which was super cool albeit kind of random!

7. Where would you like to act, festival, country...?

Our dream come true would be able to travel the entire world playing shows. We want to go EVERYWHERE!

8. Whom would you like to feature with in a song?

Brendon Urie. Hands down!

9. Whom not?

Front Porch Step.

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?

Our best advice is to just immerse yourself in your live performance.  When we first started we played as many shows as we could. For our first few months as a band we would play at least 1 show a weekend. We quickly learned the ins and outs of live performance and quickly got over all our nerves. We’ll admit that at some of our big shows we still get nervous!

11. What bands have inspired you the most to start with this band?

When we were kids we all had dreams to start a band, but we were really inspired by early 2000’s rock, My Chemical Romance, Taking Back Sunday, Finch, Brand New, and Fall Out Boy.

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

I’d say asking to have us sign their arm so they can get our signatures tattooed.
13. What do you think of your fans?

WE LOVE THEM TO BITS AND PIECES! Honestly, we still can’t believe we even have fans. We started this band in a garage playing cover songs in 105 degree heat.

14. What do you think of our site Breathing The Core?

We’re new fans to the site but we’re finding ourselves coming back over and over. It’s a great resource for music fans trying to discover new bands.

15. Something to add for your fans and our fans?

Thank you so much for having us! We are honored to talk with you guys. Thank you to our fans who are our family for always supporting us and joining on this adventure. Thank you so Breathing The Core fans for checking us out and reading this! Hope to see some of you out on the road for our US tour this summer! FELICITY OUT!
