News: Secondborn release 'Carrie' music video‏

New Orleans alternative quintet Secondborn have released a music video for brand new single ‘Carrie’. The track marks the band’s first new material since the release of last year’s "Symbols" EP.
"Carrie is a song about really liking someone. Things are going great but then they change and you don't know why. We knew that we didn't want to do a run of the mill "breakup video". Our guitarist Stefan had the idea that Carrie was a con-woman. We really had a great time filming it, we have done several other videos but this was our first real concept video with different locations and a movie-like plot. Alexander Breaux and Aaron Johnston did a phenomenal job bringing our story to life" says founder and vocalist Daniel Pinner.
Since forming in New Orleans in 2013, Secondborn have gone about crafting their songmanship first and foremost. Incorporating elements of post-hardcore, pop and alternative, the Louisiana six-piece have honed an emphatic rock sound, with a high-level production at no point negating from the passionate and honest delivery.

Founded by Daniel Pinner & Tim Benson, Secondborn fuse sounds from a range of influences from across the musical spectrum. With the duo beginning to find their range, recruitment for the rest of the band began and the full line-up came together as work began on debut EP “A Call To Arms”. With an innate chemistry beginning to form amongst the five, the record was well-received, whilst only scratching the surface of Secondborn’s early potential.

In 2015, with another year’s growth and cohesion as a unit under their belt, Secondborn released sophomore EP “Symbols”. Showing their highly accomplished musicianship and confidence in their own abilities, the band won acclaim for the buoyant self-produced effort. The EP displayed Secondborn’s rich and melodic tones but also emphasized the honest and grounded approach to songwriting; a combination that has gained the band support from across the musical spectrum.
