News: Struggletown Records benefit compilation‏

For those of you that are aware of Steven Hill and Struggletown records, you'll already be aware of how welcoming and important he is to DIY music in Glasgow. Countless friends over the years have always told me that Steven's shows in Glasgow were their favourites on tour, purely for how inclusive and hospitable he was to them. In January I had the pleasure of playing one of Steven's shows and can confirm every nice word i've heard said about him.

Steven's family in New Zealand recently were hit with the awful news of his step-mothers cancer being terminal with a very short prognosis. Steven's set up a gofundme account and curated this compilation to try and help support his family including his seven year old sister and fifteen year old brother.

The compilation features fifty five bands. That's just over 18p per song.

Steven has this to say about the compilation and gofundme:
"For me, to be able to help raise money to support them when I am unable to be there in their time of great need, will be the least that I can do. I aim to raise money by as many avenues as I can think of to help take the burden of pressure off of my dad and my step-mum.
I cannot thank each of the bands who contributed to this compilation enough. It's amazing to me to see so many talented people come together to help us in our time of need."
