News: A War Within release 'Slave' music video ahead of June tour‏

Detroit metalcore breakouts A War Within have released a brand new music video for ‘Slave'.

The track is taken from April's sophomore album Believe and precedes their headline East Coast tour, which kicks off on June 2nd.

Formed in Detroit in 2014, A War Within have quickly gone about asserting their unique and high tempo brand of electro-infused metalcore onto the alternative music scene across North America.

Coming together from the ashes of a number of former projects, the quintet soon found a cohesion in their writing; this coupled with a notable onstage chemistry encouraged the release of debut single ‘Holding On’, a promising rookie offering, but one that only scratched the surface of what was to come.

Quickly attaining a reputation from fans, industry tastemakers and peers alike, A War Within drafted in Escape The Fate’s Craig Mabbit for their next single, the apt and unapologetically titled ‘Rawsome’ taken from debut album Sons Of Saturn, which hit shelves at the end of 2014. The release saw the culmination of a year’s hard work coming together in emphatic fashion – a band bringing their potential to boil and assuredly complementing relentless and powerful breakdowns with melodic injections and a pinpoint production. More star power is also on show with I See Stars’ Devin Oliver and Bertrand Poncet from Chunk! No Captain, Chunk! seasoning an already accomplished and mature delivery.

A live show which encapsulates the energy on record and brings it to live, the charismatic 5-piece recently returned from their full US run with genre heavyweights Miss May I and Blessthefall.

The confident swagger that accompanies their live show is only half of the story however; A War Within have shown themselves as band who relish the meet & greets and fan interaction as much as their studio time and touring – something which undoubtedly shines through with the atmosphere and energy at a show.
