News: DECIPHER 'Blame Yourself', out 30th September
Post Hardcore merchants Decipher arrive on the UK scene boasting cut throat riffery, engrossing melody lines and an infectious spirit. The highly aspiring quartet release their debut EP Blame Yourself on Friday 30th September, and it’s destined to put the band on the map.
Reared in Southampton and consisting of Calum Stone (Vocals), Stuart Devlin (Guitar), Rhys Willis (Drums), George Cooper (Bass), and newcomer Jason Langdon (Guitar), the foursome were initially brought together by a shared love for Billy Talent and The Wonder Years, before digesting these influences and sculpting their very own sound.
Now, after a year of setbacks stemming from break-ups, unemployment and loss and disappointment, Decipher have carefully channelled this energy into their craft. The Post Hardcore unit have climbed aboard with a full set of songs that truly burst with vigour and venom, heading into the studio to commence work on their debut EP, to be titled Blame Yourself. Produced by Daly George and Neil Kennedy at The Ranch Production House (Milk Teeth, Creeper), the band have delivered a mighty impressive debut offering that will batter your head into submission. Five hefty nuggets of alternative fused Post-Hardcore will contort and wrap around your ears and amply take over your senses. With a collection of shows penned for later this Summer, expect Decipher to rise and take flight.
