Interviews: Death Koolaid

In this new occassion we have had the opportunity to interview the Punk/Hardcore band Death Koolaid, from UK. Check out this band and give them a like on their FACEBOOK PAGE.

1.Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that? 

We are named after one of the biggest massacres in history, go look it up.  

2.Why did you want to play this genre? 

There is nothing worse than music without any guts or conviction. We like angry loud sounds. Sirens voice pairs nicely with a violent guitar riffs and booming drum beat.  

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed? 

No thank Fuck ha, maybe in our nightmares. 

4. Each band member favourite band? 

Don’t really have one each but these are the ones we love: Amen / Ministry / motley crue /SOAD/Nirvana/Skindred/Slipknott

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs? 

Siren: Nikki Sixx played a big part in past years but my actual lyrics are based on my life experiences, things I hate, my thoughts, feelings and opinions on the world. 

Roy: All the shit indie rock bands out there. 

6. Where was your last gig? 

Camden Rocks, London.

7. Where would you like to act? 

If you mean where would I like to play then at a big festival or in the U.S like at Coachella or supporting a huge band and tour around the world – that’s the dream!!

8. Whom would you like to feature with? 

If we were in the 80s I’d say Motley Crue but present day someone like Ministry or The Prodigy or a band that likes to party hard (I don’t mean Andrew W.K), maybe skindred or Rammstein. 

9. Whom not? 

Falling in Reverse or In this Moment.

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that? 

Siren: The last 2 bands I was in before Death Koolaid only played one or two gigs before we broke up, now every time I play I think it might be my last so I try and perform like it might be my last time I play with DK.

Roy: Its usually the either way round for me. 

The Crow: Imagine everyone’s decapitated. And in their pants. 

11. What bands have inspired you the most? 

Amen, Ministry, Motley Crue, Marilyn Manson.

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for? 

Siren: Online people ask for weird stuff like this one guy asked me to read his really bad love poetry/lyrics – they were so so bad! 

Roy: I’ve signed some tits. Its not that weird, but be good if if became the norm. 

The Crow: Directions. 

13. What do you think of your fans?

All punk and metal fans are awesome we just need more of them.
