Interviews: Estaciones

In this new occassion we have had the opportunity to interview the Melodic Hardcore band Estaciones, from Argentina. Check out this band and give them a like on their FACEBOOK PAGE.

1.Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?  

The name of the band was the last thing we decided. All the lyrics are related to the feelings but always united to the weather. One day we decided to call the band "Estaciones", which means "Seasons" in spanish and everyone of us agreed.

2.Why did you want to play this genre?  

We play melodic hardcore music because is the kind of music that we have been listening since we were teenagers.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?  

Apart from Juan Manuel (bass player) and Franco (guitar player), the rest of the members knew each other because we haave another proyect called "Tribu Deem". When started Estaciones we always wanted a hard working people, thats why we asked Franco to join the band and because he was on a side project with Hernán. The last member who join the band was Juan Manuel and he joined the band when our album was finished.

4. Each band member favourite band?  

As we are 20 years old is very difficult for us to choose one favourite band, because everyone of us listen to many different bands, if you had asked this question when we were 14 the answer would be different.

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?  

The songs are writen by Hernán, he takes the inspiration from every situation of our live, but we always try to relate them to different climatic situations.

6. Where was your last gig? 

Our last show was in our home city, Rosario (Argentina) with Promesas and Los Días No Vividos.

7. Where would you like to act? 

Everywhere, national or internationally, because we love travelling specially when you meet nice people or fans.

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

We are not thinking on that with our new material but we have the experience to feat with Yamil from Promesas in our last show.

9. Whom not? 

We admit everyone because we haven´t got any problem.

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?

Everyone of us has suffered from nervousness, anxiety or fear before playing a show, but we started thinking that a show is a like a rehersal session so when we came up on the stage everything dissapeared.

As a tip we want to say that is normal to ask you a lot of questions when you are going live because all of us are human beings. So don´t worry.

11. What bands have inspired you the most?  

There are many bands from many diferent styles that have inspired us, australian melodic hardcore ones, which are our teachers because they have created a sound which mixes the melodic hardcore with the post rock.

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for? 

Nothing very strange, only a Japanese guy who asked us for a physicall copy of our album. 

13. What do you think of your fans?  

They are the best, the happines of every musician. Before having expending many hours recording, rehearsing and playing gigs they come to say to say that they love what we do and to mention the meaning that every song has for them and to ask us for going to their country, which for us is just a dream. It´s something that we can´t explain.

14. What do you think of our site?  

We checked out breathing the core while ago and we think that is a very great webzine because it helps a lot the smaller bands with reviews and press releases.

15. Something to add?

First of all we want to thank you for listening to our music. At this moment we are touring our album "Vertumno", we are preparing ourselves for a tour outside of our country and the most important thing is that have new songs prepared for our next album so stay tuned!
