Interviews: Jack The Envious
In this new occassion we have had the opportunity to interview the Post-Hardcore/Alternative band Jack The Envious, from Israel. Check out this band and give them a like on their FACEBOOK PAGE.
1.Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?
It’s our best song, but it was never released.. probably never will be.
2.Why did you want to play this genre?
Most of the bandmates grew on pop punk or metal like Metallica and Slipknot.
Seeing the live shows and vibes of the mixed genres kind of shaped us to what we are today and what we wanted to channel in our own music.
3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?
Nir (Vocals) Guy (Guitar) and (Shalev) went to high school together, Nir met Chuck (Bass) during their Military service, and Inon (Drummer) joined the band after the Army service.
4. Each band member favourite band?
Nir: Blink-182
Guy: Slipknot
Shalev: Metallica
Chuck: Sum 41
Inon: The Used ,duh..
5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?
Tragedy, horror movies, ice cream, and sometimes life.. usually life though.
6. Where was your last gig?
We had a big gig in TLV (hometown), 200 people came, it was pretty awesome to say the least.
7. Where would you like to act?
Any place that has people with good vibes (and hopefully free beer for the bands that plays)
8. Whom would you like to feature with?
I’d have to go with Oliver Sykes from BMTH

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?
Always get the stage fright, but that’s part of the thrill of the show.
Only way to beat it is to go on stage and survive your 1st song on the setlist haha
11. What bands have inspired you the most?
It varies, we listen to so many kinds of music these days.
Our debut EP sounds like a mash up of BMTH and Sum 41 with so many different things in between.
12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?
A fan once asked Nir to accept his apology for downloading our songs illegally from the internet while buying a ticket to our show. Needless to say he was forgiven.
13. What do you think of your fans?
I wish each and everyone of them was my best friend.. I wish I had friends..
14. What do you think of our site?
I honestly check it out regularly and think what you’re doing is amazing.
