Interviews: The Secret Of Ocean

In this new occassion we have had the opportunity to interview the Progressive Metalcore band The Secret Of Ocean, from Russia. Check out this band and give them a like on their FACEBOOK PAGE.

1. Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that? 

There is nothing special in our Band Name. I just wanted to make it kinda weird and at the same time with the ‘ocean’ word.

2. Why did you want to play this genre? 

Well, we started as a Deathcore band, but in about 1 year I’ve changed my music tastes and decided to do something easier to listen.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed? 

Not really. All the band members met each other when I was looking for good musicians. We’ve all became friends when we started to play together.

4. Each band member favorite band? 

We all love good music in all genres. Talking about core music – My favorite bands is Bring me the horizon, Bad Omens and Chelsea Grin. Our drummer likes Born of Osiris, and Betraying the Martyrs. Second Guitarist loves Architects and Parkway Drive. Vocalist Loves Adept and The Plot In You. Our Bass Guitarist loves Sworn In and Veil Of Maya.

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs? 

Our inspiration is to see the success of other bands. Be a successful band member, tour the world playing shows is always was a dream for me and us.

6. Where was your last gig? 

Our last gig with Incandescent, Chains of Talos and Oceansight was in Moscow in “LES” club (From RUS – “Forest”). Such a badass show…

7. Where would you like to act? 

Everywhere, where’s possible.

8. Whom would you like to feature with? 

We would like to feat With Jason butler, Devin Oliver, Denis Shaforostov and many others.

9. Whom not? 

Don’t really think that that kind of question is correct.

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that? 

We all had that kind of problem. With the number of shows you’ve played its just leaving you and you start feeling good as never before and you want to play more and more shows.

11. What bands have inspired you the most? 

I think mostly it was Bring me The Horizon.

12. What is the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for? 

Some of our fans are asking us to connect them on Snapchat. In my opinion, it’s weird.

13. What do you think of your fans? 

Our fans are the best people in the whole world. Thank you all.

Your site is awesome, no joke. I really like it and all the band members too.
