News: Count To Ten Announce New Single, "Neck Deep"

Years after their initial resurrection, Count To Ten have spent their time building a solid local fanbase around the Long Island area. Through shows both around the island and in New York City, the band has captured a live following that will be sure to carry over to the release of their debut single. “Neck Deep,” coming out on 10/17/16, is their first piece of original work being released to the overall public. About the track, the band states,

“Neck Deep is about a feeling we're all too familiar with. You got the short end of it and nobody is there to pick you up. Someone left you for greener pastures. The chorus has an intended sarcastic feel to it, asking the audience to feel selfish and pity upon yourself because who else will? In the end, time keeps rolling forward on so will you.”

Fronted by Jon Zaitz, Count To Ten’s roots were formed early as childhood friends growing up in Nassau County, LI. While the band initially began as a tribute to a late friend, the group’s chemistry quickly became evident. Their upcoming offering, “Neck Deep,” showcases a smooth combination of pop punk and early 2000’s alt-rock elements, while simultaneously delving into an intro that immediately commands the listener’s attention. The band’s live show and recently revamped lineup have both echoed a persistency that will carry them well throughout their tenure as a group.
