News: GTO's "Blood Moon" Video premieres on Bloody Disgusting!
Giraffe Tongue Orchestra will premiere the Tarantino-eque video for first single from BROKEN LINES, “Blood Moon,” on Thursday, September 15th via highly-trafficked, horror-themed site, Bloody Disgusting. The video for “Blood Moon” was shot in Los Angeles with Director, Josh Forbes (Coheed & Cambria, Good Charlotte, Alkaline Trio). Bloody-Disgusting.com was a natural choice for a partner for the debut, as the video’s storyline seemed tailor-made for the site. Managing editor of Bloody Disgusting, Jonathan Barkan, says of the video "I was completely hooked- it is an absolutely batshit crazy video. Violence, torture, blood, and kickass music all combined into what may be my favorite video of the year!”
“The shoot was down and dirty and really fun. So many laughs on set. Cast and crew were terrific. Everyone went above and beyond to make this happen. And we got to be lo-fi thespians. Couldn’t have asked for more,” said vocalist, William DuVall
Comprised of William DuVall of Alice In Chains, Ben Weinman of The Dillinger Escape Plan, Brent Hinds of Mastodon, Pete Griffin of Dethklok and Thomas Pridgen of The Mars Volta, Giraffe Tongue Orchestra has created an album that Brooklyn Vegan calls “a catchy slice of hard prog.” Additionally, actress and musician, Juliette Lewis provides backing vocals on Broken Lines, and Queens of the Stone Age drummer Jon Theodore appears on two tracks. “Many people choose to write off the phrase “supergroup”… but such a phrase is only fitting for a band this closely knit,” says PASTE Magazine of GTO.
