News: PLANES MISTAKEN FOR STARS “CLEAN UP MEAN”

As they gear up for the release of their long-awaited new album Prey on October 21st, Planes Mistaken For Stars have unveiled another single from the album.  Listen to the gritty and soulful new song “Clean Up Mean,” along with an interview with Planes frontman Gared O’Donnell, today on CLRVYNT.

Their first new album in a decade, Prey was produced and engineered by Sanford Parker (Wovenhand, Leviathan, Yob) and is a beautifully haunting return to form for Planes Mistaken For Stars.  In need of isolation to finish writing the album, founder Gared O’Donnell took to the road alone. Instead of finding a predictable muse, he found himself driving deep into the crumbling heart of middle America. There, Gared took up residence in decrepit motels, finding inspiration in the descending darkness surrounding him.  The resulting 10 songs are instant Planes Mistaken For Stars classics; multi-layered, melodic, and infectious in a way that only PMFS can be.

Prey signals that the figurative slumber is over for this brilliant cult status band.
