News: POLYPHIA DEBUTS "LIT" MUSIC VIDEO
Equal Vision Records' instrumental outfit Polyphia is now premiering "Lit" - a re-imagined version of the band's previously released song "Light". The video for "Lit" features dancer/choreographer Vinny Balbo and can be seen now at polyphiasound.com. The video was directed by Jake Woodbridge. The new rendition of the song was produced by Scottie LePage, Tim Henson, Dallas Bricker, and lophiile; And mixed and mastered by lophiile.
Polyphia is also currently writing for a new EP that they will release in 2017, which will take on a very different direction from all previous releases, with guitarists Henson and LePage taking creative lead on the project as both artists and producers.
Polyphia's recently announced 'The Lit AF' headline tour will kick off on February 18 in the band's hometown of Dallas, TX. The upcoming tour will also include sets from Jason Richardson and Covet. Polyphia has previously toured and shared stages with the likes of Coheed and Cambria, Animals As Leaders, Periphery, Between The Buried and Me, August Burns Red and Every Time I Die. The band is currently touring in support of their stunning sophomore album, Renaissance, which is out now and can be heard in full via youtube.com/Polyphia. The stream also includes music videos for "Nightmare", "Euphoria" and "Crush", which have already garnered nearly four million views combined.
Renaissance is available via polyphia.merchnow.com and through digital retailers such as iTunes. The first pressing of vinyl for Renaissance is limited to 1000, with two color variants: 500 of black with white splatter [sold out] and 500 of white with black splatter.
Renaissance was released on March 11 and has sold over 11k copies to date. It is the follow up to Muse, the band’s debut full-length, which has sold over 13k copies to date and landed on several Billboard Charts including: No. 5 on Internet Albums, No. 6 on Hard Rock Albums, No. 13 on Independent Albums, No. 22 on Top Rock Albums, No. 71 on Top Current Albums, and No. 76 on Top 200. Through Muse, the band also found early supporters in the likes of Dunlop, Ibanez and Guitar World.
