Interviews: Sick Hate Design

In this new occassion we have had the opportunity to interview the designer Sick Hate. Check out this designer for great logos, artworks, etc. Give him a like on his FACEBOOK PAGE.

1. Why did you decide to start making designs for bands?

I always like drawing metal logos but first impulse was when my own band needed a good logo so I decided to make it on my own and it was pretty well so I started my own page in the end of 2015. Soon I had my first clients and it started grows.

2.Where did you get the idea for your artistic/designer name?

I had that name in my head for a very long time, I wanted to start my own clothing line. Something to show my disgust from society and people today.

3. How would you describe your designs as?

Well I have a problem with self rating but I think that they are pretty well. I am able to do brutal logos and company logos.

4. Where did you get the inspiration to make your designs?

Hard to say most of time I am studying other artists to find how they do some details or some elements. With that I try to use it, so most of the time is an experimentation. Everything that I know now I learned on my own.

5. Which kind of designs do you make (artwork, merchandise, logos...)?

I am able to do all of them I am trying to make everything that a band needs. But most of the time I make logos.

6. How much do you usually spend on every design? 

Depends on a lot of factors like size and style. I am doing details one by one so sometimes it is less than five hours and sometimes it is more than ten. It is a long way to do it properly like i want.

7. With which band´s have your worked?

My first work for this 2017 was for band Left to Drown and cover for Whxcrusher. Before this, I did logos for a lot of different bands like Enthralled, Pollute, Burn The Plague, Christian Warship, Mouth of Sauron, Bölvadir, Švindl, re-vamp for Cariosus etc.... For example, last year I did more than 30 logos and i hope this year it will be much more. And I am cooperating with CoreMusick Promotions as their designer.

8. Have you got any bad experience with a design (re-doing it many times, making many changes...)?

Re-doing is not a bad thing beacuse my work consist on hitting a proper style for every client. I have had more problems with getting paid. A few clients asked me to make a design and after finishing it they started ignoring my messages.

9. Can you say something for the begginers?

Hardest way is to keep doing what you want, because you will not make a lot of money from it during a few days or even months. Every beginning is hard and i had a lot of moments when i wanted to delete my page and send it to hell. But I did not and now i am glad  I didn´t do that.

Still i am not on that level that i can make it as a full time job but i am growing bigger. So the main thing is to don´t give up!

10. Can you say something about your designs and prices?

I don´t want to talk about prices in public it is not fair for other designers. I am trying to do price which is best for me and band too but i can´t say that i get all my spend time payed everytime still it´s hobby in first.
