Interviews: Far 'N' Hate

In this new occassion we have had the opportunity to interview the Metalcore band Far 'N' Hate, from Spain. Check out this band and give them a like on their FACEBOOK PAGE.

1.Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?

Almost all the bands in the world start the project practicing a lot and then comes the day when the first concert is almost there and you start with the band mates: “guys we need to find a name”.

Then is when the first 100 names are not good options or one member didn’t like it, or all the “cliche” things come…till one member says something that everybody loves …and that’s what happened, one of us said: “fahrenheit”, because in our rehersal room was soooo hot…all of us love it but we wanted to find something with more sense and it came to our mind to make a play on words and make it Far ‘n’ Hate. For us it’s kind of like when someone does something bad to you.

You can forgive but never forget, so this stays far inside you but you always remember and the anger comes in when you think about that…I hope that you get what we mean haha!

2. Why did you want to play this genre?

We all like different styles of music but we all match in the love for metalcore and modern metal so we are happy playing this genre.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

The band has changed the line up since Marc formed it in 2007. It started as a hometown friends band but because of the evolution to a more professional level, more touring and so on the previous members can’t handle it because of working or personal reasons and different priorities in live and the actual member that are in the band are friends that we have made sharing the stage with and became good friends before joining the band.

4. Each band member favourite band?

Marc: Killswitch Engage

Jona: Thrice

Felipe: Avenged Sevenfold

Nacho: While She Sleeps

Jorge: Slipknot.

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

Everything can inspire us to write a song. The only thing that we keep in mind is that we want to transmit something positive and optimistic to the listener.

6. Where was your last gig?

Was New Noise Festival in Forlimpopoli, Italy.

7. Where would you like to act?

Soundwave in Australia

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

Any of the bands we said in the question nº 4, and many more :)

9. Whom not?

We didn´t like to have a feature with someone that doesn’t share our principles when it comes to music.

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?

We all feel a bit nervous before going to the stage, is something good and natural that keeps you alert and ready and that means that you care and love what you do, we think is something positive and that after the first note, hit or scream disappears and it turns to energy and good vibes and you starting to really enjoy the show. Tips, just practice a lot before the shows or first show because if you are ready only good things come being on stage, nerves are a part of it.

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

The 5 mentioned on question nº 4 and a lot more like: Architects, More Than a Thousand, Bury Tomorrow, No Bragging Rights, Any Given Day, Of Mice & Men, Textures and many more.

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

Well, there have been some weird requests we must admit haha but to mention one, after our show in Made Of Metal Open Air in Czech Republic there was one guy from the stuff of the festival that he said that he felt in love with us (as a band haha) and he was during a lot of time saying: ‘please take me with you to Spain’ he meant that, seriously, when we were leaving we tried to jump in to our van hahaha

13. What do you think of your fans?

We love them and we think they are the best fans in the world!

14. What do you think of our site?

We been following you for a long time. We’ve been featured in your compilations...and we see that you are doing a great job supporting the scene and a lot of bands, so we think your site is awesome!

15. Something to add?

Thanks you so much for dedicating us this interview and thank you to the people and fans who are taking their time to read it. Take care!
