Interviews: Glass Hands

In this new occasion we have had the opportunity to interview the  Metalcore  band Glass Hands from USA. Check out this band and give them a like on their FACEBOOK PAGE.

1.Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?

We originally were just trying to think of something that sounded modern and
interesting. We spent a few weeks brainstorming names and landed on Glass Hands because we thought it was especially unique.

2.Why did you want to play this genre?

All of our favorite bands play metal and metalcore. We’ve always loved the energy in the crowds at Warped Tour and it’s always been a goal of ours to be a part of that lineup.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

Most of us have known each other since before middle school. Growing up, we’ve always had a developing musical connection. We’re all really close friends.

4. Each band member favourite band?

Our favorite bands right now are pretty similar. Right now, we all love A Day to Remember, Architects, Counterparts, and Issues, and Wage War

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

We’ve always turned to music when life gets difficult. Our inspiration has always
stemmed from wanting to improve ourselves musically, or to get through tough situations.

6. Where was your last gig?

Our last show was a benefit show for the AFSP at The Hoosier Dome in Indianapolis. The Dome is Home bud.

7. Where would you like to act?

We would really like to play some shows on the west coast in the near future, because we haven’t reached out there yet. We loved playing in Texas last summer and would love to go back as soon as possible.

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

It’d be amazing to be featured in something like AltPress Magazine with some of the big acts in our genre. That is also one of our big goals for the future.

9. Whom not?

There isn’t anywhere we wouldn’t prefer to be featured. If someone wants to feature us on their site or release, we’d be open to featuring.

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?

We’ve been performing from such a young age that we usually don’t have a problem with it. The only times we get especially nervous is when we’re opening up for a band that we look up to. If someone has a problem with stage fright, our recommendation is to practice your material until you’re extremely comfortable with it. Knowing exactly what you’re playing, inside and out, takes a lot of the pressure off.

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

We look up to A Day to Remember and Issues because they aren’t afraid to branch out and try every genre in their own way. We’re also really inspired by Architects and Wage War because of how well they’ve developed their sound. We want to reach that level of development in our music.

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

One time a fan asked us to sign their Grandma’s face, so we did it.

13. What do you think of your fans?

We really appreciate anyone who listens to our music and shares it around. We’ve had a lot of reception on our new video for “Waiting Room” and we couldn’t have asked for a better response. We’re really thankful for them.

14. What do you think of our site?

Your website looks really good and well-laid out. We’re looking forward to being
featured on it!
