Interviews: Sense Of Fear

In this new occassion we have had the opportunity to interview the Metal band Sense Of Fear, from Greece. Check out this band and give them a like on their FACEBOOK PAGE.

1.Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?   

Hello there. Thanks for having me here on Breathing The Core. It was Holy Prophecy our first name, but when I wrote the ‘Sense of Fear’ song back in 1999, it was so strong and complete that we took the decision to change our name.    

2.Why did you want to play this genre?   

It just came up. Since we were kids we listened to Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Iced Earth and others. For me personally, I love all the range of Metal so we have influences from all of it.    

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?   

The drummer (Markos) and I are brothers and with the second guitar player (Themis) we are all best friends from school. The other members came later as friends to the band.     

4. Each band member favourite band?   

We have common like Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Iced Earth, but each member has their own favs. Our drummer loves black metal bands like Behemoth, Marduk, Mayhem (so do I), our singer also loves Stratovarius, Anathema and others.    

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?   

Our lyrics are mostly personal experiences, thoughts and feelings, our own perspective to the world, also some good stories and metaphors. We get so much inspiration from the world we are living in and the sadness we get from it every day.    

6. Where was your last gig?   

We performed in Ioannina, a city in Greece supporting a great Greek band called Need.    

7. Where would you like to act?   

In Sonisphere Festival here in Malakasa (a village near Athens) here in Greece.    

8. Whom would you like to feature with?   

Ahahhaa, I will say many Greek bands like Rotting Christ and Septic Flesh and of course many great bands like Iron Maiden or Helloween.    9. Whom not?   I have no problem with anyone ahhahhah    

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?   

No never. We love to be on stage and perform. We don’t want to go down ahhahhah so I haven’t face that fear.   

11. What bands have inspired you the most?   

Iron Maiden and Iced Earth definitely    

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?  

One fan asked from me to follow him to a pajama party to his house. Man please ahhahhaha.     

13. What do you think of your fans?   

They are very devoted. We have a very strong fan base here in Greece and we are starting to create the same to other countries.     

14. What do you think of our site?    

Great site man, everyone who helps spread the metal for me is awesome. I like your articles and also I’ve enjoyed your questions here. But we have a little bit difference here cause your name is Breathing The Core, but we are Melting The Core with our first song of our album “Molten Core” ahhahha just kidding.
