Interviews: PULVERIZED
In this new occassion we have had the opportunity to interview the Death Metal band PULVERIZED from Chile. Check out the interview and this band on their FACEBOOK PAGE.
1.Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?
Our guitarist Andres Valdes came up with the name based on the idea of something brutal and fast, capable of pulverizing not only listeners’ ears but thoughts, misconceptions, faith and everything that seem to be established.
2.Why did you want to play this genre?
All the members of the band have something in common. We are passionate about Death Metal. We all have different ages, influences and beginnings but we managed to unify all our passion in this style, achieving congeniality even in the creation of each song.
3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?
Well as you may know, Pablo (Me) and Andrés we are brothers. Then we reached Claudio and we started the band. A few years later, we listened to a tape from the former Guillermo and Leonardo’s band called Colera Morbus. We were very impressed with it and since they were looking for a band to practice a bit more we asked them to join us.
4. Each band member favourite band?
Well, we all have different tastes in music but we can acknowledge the following:
Guillermo (Bass): At the Gates
Pablo (Guitar): Morbid Angel, Paradise Lost.
Claudio (Vocals): Deicide – Decapitated (first albums)
Leonardo (Drums): Suffocation, Autopsy, Dead Congregation
Andrés (Guitar): Morbid Angel, Black Sabbath, Metallica.
5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?
First of all, the music we listen to everyday, but in the big picture we think there is something wrong how people manage to live their lives. Entire societies with zero critical thinking just devouring reality. That make us angry so we need to express that feeeling through our music.
6. Where was your last gig?
Our last important gig was in December 2017. We played some songs from our new album and we shared stage with Hellfire plus other bands.
7. Where would you like to act?
Well, we don’t have a specific place as far as the minimun conditions are ok. It could be anywhere.
8. Whom would you like to feature with?
Any old school Death Metal band from Chile or South America.
9. Whom not?
Self called “true metal bands” out there. LOL
10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?
Well, it is something common at first when you perform any type of art. We haven’t suffered from that but to be a little nervous before a concert gives you some sort of a special sense. We think it is not something “beatable” because it is part of that moment and you have to deal with it. However, practice and believing in what you do help a lot.
11. What bands have inspired you the most?
We think that Black Sabbath and Morbid Angel have inspired us to play Death Metal. Nevertheless, we have a bunch of old good influences that go from classic rock from the 70’s to almost everything from the 80`s.
13. What do you think of your fans?
We considered them very special since they have showed us respect and support buying our cds.
14. What do you think of our site?
It’s a great site if you are looking for diversity in metal and rock in general. We like that as it gives the possibillity to newcomers to show their music and art.
15. Something add?
Thanks for the interview. Keep supporting new bands and we hope you buy and like the album. Cheers from the South American inferno!!!
