Redshift: "When we commissioned the artist (Andy Pilkington) we had a very clear idea of what we wanted to portray and he really managed it in spectacular fashion. We wanted something that could show the significance of the events that would unfold in the story having the cities in ruin and having a figure or figures that came down from the sky to represent a hostile takeover of the world, it had to be something that embodied the terrible and intelligent alien invaders. The UFO in the image loomed over the city and the classic image of the statue of liberty which is probably one of the most iconic representations of freedom buckled amongst the dust and rubble."
