Interviews: In Element

In this new occassion, we have had the opportunity to interview the Metalcore/Deathcore/Metal/Death Metal band In Element from the Argentina. Check out the interview and follow the band on their  FACEBOOK PAGE

1.Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?

The band used to call "Identity Crisis" but we thought that was... like to much "punk" in some way. The name "IN ELEMENT" came out from an ex-member of the band, and blend well with our music, because the idea from the beginning was to try to mix different elements of the metal music in one, so... we said "That's cool! Let use it!"

2.Why did you want to play this genre?

Now, fifteen years later, I can say, that what happens with metal, its that is a really an honest style of music and it has a lot of passion it to it. In my case, when I heard the album "Demanufacture" from Fear Factory, I said, "Fuck I want to do that".

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

Yeah. With our original lead singer, we use to go to high school together. And with Emanuel, the guitar player, we were working in the rehearsal place that we use to go. We had a European tour, in the year 2008, and the guitar player quit, so he filled in.

4. Each band member favourite band?

That would be a really long list... but I can tell you mine. Strapping Young Lad, Fear Factory, John Coltrane, Amorphis, Unearth and Sumo (an Argentinian Band)

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

A lot of personal experiences, in love, in the lack of love, in hope and desperation.

6. Where was your last gig?

Buenos Aires, Argentina, in a small place a couple a weeks ago!

7. Where would you like to act?

I would like to do some touring in the Nordic countries, like Finland, Sweden, Norway, etc.

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

Devin Townsend and Gojira.

9. Whom not?

Foo Fighters.

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?

Not really, I'm most fright about to set up the stage and plug all the gear in different countries. I got electrocuted once in Spain and almost lost consciousness before I got to play. Play the songs that we made it´s the cool part, but set all the gear and sound it´s the most difficult when you don't have a roadie.

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

In the metal style, when we got started, Amorphis, Fear Factory, Strapping Young Lad, Machine Head and maybe a little bit of Deftones.

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

The most... has been weird things related to sex... but that's a whole other story!

13. What do you think of your fans?

That they really enjoy live music and that awesome!

14. What do you think of our site?

It is cool to find places on the web where you can discover new bands and not to be close-minded to the new platforms like Spotify.

15. Something add?

We got a new album "LYRA". You can download it for free in our Bandcamp. https://inelement.bandcamp.com/
