Interviews: Blind Scryer

In this new occasion, we have had the opportunity to interview the  Stoner Metal band Blind Scryer from the USA. Check out the interview and follow the band on their  FACEBOOK PAGE

1. Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?

Our singer Blair came up with the name.

2. Why did you want to play this genre?

It's a combination of the music we listen to. We didn't really discuss a style when we started playing.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

Jeff and Jeremy worked together at a guitar shop but knew of the other members from our local music scene.

4. Each band member favorite band?

Jeremy: Red Fang

Trent: Rush

River: Yes

Blair: Danava

Jeff: The Stooges

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

Bands that come before us, inspire us, such as Captain Beyond, Blue Oyster Cult, Kyuss, Black Sabbath. Life, society, and nothing at all.

6. Where was your last gig?

Black Circle Brewing Co. in Indianapolis, Indiana.

7. Where would you like to act?

Roadburn, Psycho Las Vegas, Maryland Doom Fest, your living room.

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

We would love to perform with some of our other favorites like High on Fire, Sleep, Pallbearer, Uncle Acid, Khemmis...the list goes on.

9. Whom not?

Bigots.

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?

We have all become more comfortable on stage as time goes on. Luckily we have not had any issues with stage fright. Practicing and being prepared is essential.

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

We love many of the hardworking bands we have had the opportunity to play with over the past couple of years. Horseburner, Howling Giant, Archarus, Toke, Great Electric Quest. All of them are great bands and people.

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

When "Sundown" from Cleveland offered to sing Smoky Robinson acapella in exchange for a cigarette. He also offered his services as a singer but we have that covered.

13. What do you think of your fans?

We LOVE our fans. Having fun and hanging out with fans at shows is one of our absolute favorite things to do.

14. What do you think of our site?

It's a great place to find out about new music!

15. Something add?

Long Live Heavy Metal!
