Interviews: I Am The Law

In this new occasion, we have had the opportunity to interview the Trash Metal/Groove Metal band I Am The Law from the USA. Check out the interview and follow the band on their FACEBOOK PAGE. 

1. Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?

The name came from the movie Judge Dredd, I thought it sounded pretty badass plus Anthrax had a song about it. We played around with other names but this was the one we all agreed on and liked.

2. Why did you want to play this genre?

I’ve been a fan of southern/groove metal since the Pantera days and even some black sabbath, but it really hit when Maylene and the sons of disaster came around then The showdown and He is legend, I knew this is what I wanted to do for a good while now.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

Chris and nic are brothers, and I and brain were in a previous band before, Tyler we knew from an older band in the scene.

4. Each band member favorite band?

Chris-Tool, Nic-Periphery, Brain-Misfits, Brandon-MATSOD, Tyler-Every Time I Die

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

Brandon writes most of it but the rest of the band all has there input and adds certain flavors to the mix, as for inspiration fast heavy and hard groovy metal.

6. Where was your last gig?

Springwater in nashville, with gnarwolf

7. Where would you like to act?

Would like to get out to Louisiana, Texas area

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

Will play with whomever not really opposed to much as long as it’s in the metal and or rock family.

9. Whom not?

Um... not sure on that one I guess any hateful acts or ones that promote violence.

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?

We all handle it differently, the best thing is to be prepared for anything that could go wrong because it might, and do your best they are there to see you play live at that moment!

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

MATSOD, He Is Legend, The showdown, ETID

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

To be a fan lol

13. What do you think of your fans?

We love them all and want to hang out talk about music and what not.

14. What do you think of our site?

It’s legit, it’s great to see so many bands I’ve never heard of before and checking them all out.
