Interviews: INTOXICATED RAGE
In this new occasion, we have had the opportunity to interview the Thrash Metal/Groove Metal band INTOXICATED RAGE from the USA. Check out the interview and follow the band on their FACEBOOK PAGE.
1. Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?
In a drunken argument with my former bandmate. At the time, we had a different name and unfortunately, we found out that it was already taken by an established band in the area. We sat down and thought "what describes our sound and energy" and after a few bottles of Jim Beam, we realized Intoxicated Rage would be perfect. We were drunk and angry and we wanted to let it out.
2. Why did you want to play this genre?
Its what I gravitate to. Anger and metal just go together.
3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?
Yes, we all went to Berklee College of Music in Boston and hung around the metal scene.
4. Each band member favorite band?
Giuseppe's Metallica, Tyler Fritzel's Dream Theater, Billy Trone’s Archspire, Matt Lippa’s Between the Buried and Me
5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?
Emotions, questions, curiosity.
6. Where was your last gig?
Wonder Bar in Allston, Massachusetts
7. Where would you like to act?
Perform? Wembley in London is a huge dream of mine.
8. Whom would you like to feature with?
I Would love to open for Metallica, and I am sure the guys would love to open for their favorite band's as well.
9. Whom not?
We will perform with everyone as long as they are not assholes.
10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?
Honestly, I wouldn’t say stage fright. It’s more of a mix of emotions ranging from excitement to anxiety. But all I think about is going on stage and playing with my heart and everything I got in me and that’s what matters. So my tip is worry not about what could happen, just play with your heart.
11. What bands have inspired you the most?
Metallica, System of a Down, Dr. Dre, Blackstreet, Slayer
12. What do you think of your fans?
I’m grateful they’re there. They understand our mission and the fact that I can share that with them is pretty incredible.
13. What do you think of our site?
I think it’s awesome that you promote bands and do these types of interviews so that the music community can find new upcoming bands.
14. Something to add?
Dare to fail.
