Interviews: Out Cold

In this new occasion, we have had the opportunity to interview the Post-Hardcore/Pop Punk band Out Cold from the UK. Check out the interview and follow the band on their FACEBOOK PAGE. 

1. Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that? 

Well our name actually came from a song by every time I die called C++ 

2. Why did you want to play this genre? 

Although we call ourselves a “Pop Punk” band we wouldn’t necessarily pigeonhole ourselves into one specific genre as we enjoy so many varieties of music and fit all within the alternative music scene

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

Well, we’re all from different places like Liverpool, Brighton And Croydon but we class London as our home town since we first met there through Join my band.

4. Each band member favorite band? 

Paul: Green Day

Jack: The Story So Far

Ethan: Coast To Coast

Will: The Shaggs

Archie: Silent Planet

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

All of our lyrical content is from personal moments/stories & recollections from our past as that’s what we know & are passionate about.

6. Where was your last gig?

Our last gig was on our UK May headline tour at Suburbia in Southampton.

7. Where would you like to play? 

One day we would love to play at Chain Reaction in Anaheim California. 

8. Who would you like to support?

So our perfect UK/home tour would be with our mates in Coast To Coast as their our favorite UK band at the minute. And America would be with the “The Story So Far” because they’re the best band out there at the minute.

9. Who not?

Well, I’m not sure that we’d decline to tour with anyone really as we enjoy such a wide range of genres.

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?

I guess everyone gets stage fright now & then it’s just a matter of overcoming it to learn how to enjoy the moment more. 

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

Aside from our individual favorite bands, I’d say our favorites are: Neck Deep, The Shaggs, Story So Far, Trash Boat & Trophy Eyes.

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for? 

Well we once were asked for the water bottles that we had been drinking onstage at a gig, which was pretty weird 

13. What do you think of your fans? 

Our fans are the best! They’re so supportive in everything that we do & without them, we’d be nothing. Shout out to our biggest fan Mya!

14. What do you think of our site? 

We love it! As the music industry changes it’s so important to keep championing the alternative music scene & we respect everyone that does
