Interviews: DEAD BY WEDNESDAY

In this new occasion, we have had the opportunity to interview the Metal band DEAD BY WEDNESDAY from the USA. Check out the interview and follow the band on their FACEBOOK PAGE.

1. Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?

Basically the name came from a touring expression from touring so much, basically by the middle of the week when on the road you are 'DEAD BY WEDNESDAY' it just stuck & a bunch of people we trusted all picked this same name out of a list we had when putting the band together. It's different because you don't really know what style it is right off the bat.

2. Why did you want to play this genre?

I didn't want to play this genre, this genre picked me! haha... Heavy metal is one of the most challenging & taxing genres to play especially live. I love a good challenge. It's also very unified unlike a lot of other styles & we like that.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

We did not know each other, just myself & the bassist Mike Modeste (the rhythm section, the foundation) knew each other & are the only original band members. He found me & told me he was a better bass player than the one I was playing with at the time & was very convincing, haha...

4. Each band member favorite band?

Well collectively I would have to say Megadeth, Pantera, Van Halen, Slipknot, SOAD, Hatebreed, Metallica, Slayer, Black Sabbath, Tool, & KSE but there's much more & we are all influenced by a lot of different styles & stuyff as well.

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

Not any one thing inspires me or us, I think it's a combination of things... some days you just feel more inspired than others. We write in many different ways... sometimes someone comes in with a whole song written, sometimes just some riffs, sometimes all together with a band, etc.

6. Where was your last gig?

Our last gig was in Phoniex, AZ. at Club Red Mesa while on tour supporting the legendary Flotsam & Jetsam!

7. Where would you like to act?

Any legit porn movie that incorporates superheroes! Don't ask... hahaha

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

Black Widow or the chick that plays her!

9. Whom not?

Ron Jeremy, laugh out loud

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?

Never suffered from stage fright but I've been doing this since I was 12 years old & literally to this day still, get nervous right before going on. I guess that's good because it means I still care a lot I guess.

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

Bands that inspired me personally are Led Zep, Black Sabbath, The Police, Megadeth, Metallica, Pantera, Slayer, Van Halen & more!

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

If they could literally have a nasty sweaty shirt off our singers back right after he got off stage & it was a dude (not that it matters;)! Just sayin'... 

13. What do you think of your fans?

They are everything! I say this all the time but it's completely true... Without them, we are NOTHING!

14. What do you think of our site?
