Interviews: Halo One

In this new occasion, we have had the opportunity to interview the  Alternative Metal solo project Halo One from Finland. Check out the interview and follow the band on their FACEBOOK PAGE.

1. Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?

The band name comes from my real last name Halonen and also there is this double meaning in halo. 

2. Why did you want to play this genre?

I´ve listened to heavy/metal music pretty much all my life so it just came quite natural to do music like this and it´s a hell of a fun to do it!

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

Halo One is a one-man-band so yep, I think I know myself quite well...at least most of the time, haha!

4. Each band member favorite band? 

Damn, this is really hard because there are so many in metal but also in other genres...I just can´t pick one, there are too many!

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs? 

Most of my songs are influenced by life itself, there are stories and imagination of course but also something from my personal life and experiences too. Let´s just say that most of the stuff comes straight from my heart!

6. Where was your last gig? 

I did an acoustic gig in Semifinal Helsinki in 2018 summer that was the last gig that I did.

7. Where would you like to act?

Playing everywhere is awesome but of course, seeing new countries and continents would be a dream come true

8. Whom not?

I think that if the song is good and I like it myself and can stand behind it, I´ll feature whatever band or artist. Just actually featured in Finnish punk rock band Kirkkovenes Psychosocial cover song!

9. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that? 

Not really fright but excitement definitely, if you don´t feel butterflies in your stomach before a show you might consider doing something else!

10. What bands have inspired you the most?  

There are soooo many but to name a few, Pantera, Sepultura, Slayer, Dead Kennedys, The Rolling Stones, Opeth, Kreator, Nine Inch Nails, Black Flag, Sick Of It All, No Use For A Name, Entombed, Sentenced, Anthrax,...I can go on and on, ha ha!

11. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for? 

Not any weird questions being asked yet...so I´m still waiting

Love every one of them of course

14. Something add? 

Being a 37-year-old fart who is quite clear with realities in life, I'm honoured that there are people that are into something that I do and want to support it, just want to say big that you all, you rock!!!
