Interviews: WIZARD RIFLE

In this new occasion, we have had the opportunity to interview the  Metal band WIZARD RIFLE from the USA. Check out the interview and follow the band on their FACEBOOK PAGE.

1. Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?

The name was something my roommate said while I was playing Super Mario World on SNES.

2. Why did you want to play this genre?

Sam and I were going to a lot of shows in Portland and felt like there was something missing. We were seeing tons of bands just making highly redundant music and we wanted something that was high energy and something that was just a little different.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

We were introduced by our mutual friend Bryan Weller.

4. Each band member favorite band?

That’s hard. How about Devo and Roxy Music.

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

Existential Dread.

6. Where was your last gig?

Portland. At Sabertooth Fest.

7. Where would you like to act?

I don’t understand this question.

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

Metallica.

9. Whom not?

We’ll play with anybody.

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?

Play like 200 shows then you won’t feel it as bad. Until then, drink alcohol before and during your set.

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

Karp, T-Rex, The Stooges.

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

Nothing comes to mind.

13. What do you think of your fans?

They’re a bunch of weirdos, and that’s great.

14. What do you think of our site?

It cool. Got a lot of stuff on there.
