Interviews: The Golden Leaves
In this new occasion, we have had the opportunity to interview the Rock band The Golden Leaves from Norway. Check out the interview and follow the band on their FACEBOOK PAGE.
1. Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just
like that?
Came out just like that!
2. Why did you want to play this genre?
It’s a fun genre to play and you can add a lot of variety to it. As fans of blues,
metal, and rock there’s much room to be creative. It’s also the best music to
perform on stage, at least more fun than pushing buttons while you faint from an
epileptic attack.
3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?
Not everyone at least. David the singer had some friends he put together. They
started playing and since it was so much fun we formed the band.
4. Each band member favorite band?
Though it’s hard to get in touch with our bandmates at times, we have a rough
idea of what they like to listen to.
David - Oasis
Javier - Led Zeppelin
Torleiv - The Delta Saints
Arthur - Creed
Christian - Royal Blood
5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?
Everything inspires us to write music. It could be the girl from last night or just life
itself. If it makes you feel something you can write a song about it. If not you can
write a song about that too. The weirdest song I (Torleiv) have written is probably
a song about the beavers in Sweden. They went extinct because of a gland in
their rectums tasted so good. Seriously, google it, I was heartbroken.
6. Where was your last gig?
Our last gig was in Orkanger, Norway on a festival called Parkliv. We thought it
was going to be a boozed out gig with lots of inbred people hating on us. Our
prejudice wore off after a couple of songs and we really enjoyed it. Some of us
even went skinny dipping with some fans after the show. We were totally right
about the booze part any way.
7. Where would you like to perform?
Royal Albert Hall
8. Whom would you like to perform with?
We would like Led Zeppelin to re-unite and play with us at Royal Albert Hall
9. Whom not?
Easy. Combos
10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how
to beat that?
Yes, we have. The best advice is to practice so much you could perform while
sleeping. And just to be clear one or two beers helps, but don’t make a fool out of
yourself.
11. What bands have inspired you the most?
Combos
12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?
If they could get a signed sweaty towel from the band. You never know what kind
of diseases Arthur carries.
13. What do you think of your fans?
We love our fans, even the really weird ones. They listen, sing along, doesn’t
fiddle too much with their phones and joins the party after the show.
14. What do you think of our site?
Seems like a legit rock site for people who really know their music. All of us being
metalheads in one way or another this will be our go-to the page for new hard music.
We’ll definitely check out what Nintendocore is.
15. Something to add?
Yes. Our first music video for the song Rebel just got released to YouTube.
Please take a look and leave a comment/like. That helps us more than you think!
