Interviews: Majesty Of Revival

In this new occasion, we have had the opportunity to interview the Progressive Metal band Majesty Of Revival from Ukraine. Check out the interview and follow the band on their FACEBOOK PAGE.

1. Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?

Dimitriy: Back in 2009 I decided to create a band under the name "Revival". After one demo saw that there was a lot of bands under that name. So, the old friend of mine suggested adding "Majesty of". And here it is! A bit long name, but you can name us "MOR" if it's more comfortable for you!

2. Why did you want to play this genre?

Mad Doctor: Because in my opinion, this is a genre with the least limitations and with the most space for creativity.

Dimitriy: Yeah, that was the main reason. 3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

Dimitriy:

There were different people involved when everything just started. Only me and our drummer still in the band since then.

MD: Well, when I’ve joined the band, it has existed for 9 years, I guess.

4. Each band member favorite band?

MD: Pink Floyd

Dimitriy: Symphony X. Our drummer a big fan of Mars Volta and bass player likes Megadeth.

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

MD: Just daily things that happen around us all the time. Transcribing them into music helps a lot to think about them in a new way.

6. Where was your last gig?

Dimitriy: Death Metal assault, the last gig from supporting tour for our previous album "Dualism".

7. Where would you like to act?

Dimitriy: Wacken, or maybe Rock am Ring! 8. Whom would you like to feature with?

Dimitriy: Symphony X or Waltari

9. Whom not?

Dimitriy: Nicki Minaj?

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?

Dimitriy: Maybe when I was 7, at the music school. But since then I played a lot of gigs with different bands/projects.

MD: Actually yeah. Still suffering, some times. And the tip is simple – go and play, no matter how scary it is. After a dozen gigs, you’ll just forget about stage fright.

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

Dimitriy: As I said - Symphony X, Metallica, Waltari, Majestic, Faith no More

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

Dimitriy: After one of the gigs a girl started texting me something like "marry me".

13. What do you think of your fans?

Dimitriy: I'm thanking them for supporting and understanding everything that we've done. 

14. What do you think of our site?

Dimitriy: Cool webzine, you're doing a great job supporting the underground artists.
