Interviews: Wolves Among Us

In this new occasion, we have had the opportunity to interview the Metalcore band Wolves Among Us from the Denmark. Check out the interview and follow the band on their FACEBOOK PAGE.

1. Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?

One of the guitarists was listening to “Wolves amongst ravens” by After The Burial and we came up with Wolves Among Us.

2. Why did you want to play this genre?

We love clean vocal the melodic stuff and scream/growl and the heavy stuff so to combine those two genres it was easy to play metalcore.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

We didn't know each other beforehand, we found each other through various forums and hooked up and began jamming in a basement, and here we are today!

4. Each band member's favorite band?

Casper: Bury Tomorrow

Rune: Periphery

Jimmy: Killswitch Engage

Tommy: Slipknot

Søren: Upon A Burning Body

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

Many things, it depends on the mood to write the song in and also how we see the world at that time. 6. Where was your last gig? We drove from Denmark to the UK and played two awesome shows, in 2020 we will go back! We can't wait. 

7. Where would you like to act?

All around Europe to start with and after that, it would be a dream coming true to visit Japan and the USA

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

Our top 5 from earlier for starters. 9. Whom not? There isn't anyone that we don't want to play with, but I guess it comes down to if we fit in with the genre.

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?

We all had stage fright at the beginning, but over time it had become a more positive thing and we use it to fuel our passion when we go on stage. A good tip is just to practice and keep calm. (and drink a beer before showtime)

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

We tend to get a lot of inspiration from each other but other than that. Periphery, Bury Tomorrow, Blessthefall and As I lay Dying has inspired us a lot.

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

We can’t really think of anything too weird. Maybe the weirds fans haven’t checked in with us yet.

13. What do you think of your fans?

They are simply awesome when we go out to play we love meeting the people that listen to our music, buy our merch and share our passion and in general, are active in the community.

14. What do you think of our site?

Anyone who does anything to promote the metal community and promote the lesser-known bands is a blessing. So, in other words, we love your site.
