Interviews: Under Attack

In this new occasion, we have had the opportunity to interview the  Metal band Under Attack from Italy. Check out the interview and follow the band on their FACEBOOK PAGE.

1. Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?

The name of the band came out spontaneously. One day talking together about the daily problems we have realized that people are under attack: crimes, war, hate, climate changes, animals extinction.

2. Why did you want to play this genre?

I love classic metal and 80s hard rock I grewn up with this music genre, that’s part of my life. So play this genre it was a natural choice.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

Yes, we have had collaborations in the past but mainly we are bound by a solid friendship and passion for music.

4. Each band member favorite band?

We love band like Led zeppelin, deep purple, black sabbath, ozzy osbourne, dio, saxon, dokken, Iron Maiden, etc

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

Love for music leads me to write songs.

6. Where was your last gig?

I performed in a lot of live gigs, mainly as a part of small underground projects and cover bands, (rock pop or blues) anyway my last gig was one year ago in my town during a musical event.

7. Where would you like to act?

I’d like to play in some festivals where we can promote our music, anyway I like to play everywhere.

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

I’d like to open for our fav 80’s bands and the list is too big: from Ratt to Europe, Dokken, Whitesnake, Def Leppard, Cinderella. I really like these bands.

9. Whom not?

I don’t know, I have no idea because there are many good bands who performs live so There is no band I wouldn't play in a live gig

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?

No, none of us has ever suffered from stage fear. Fear is a negative energy and I believe must be channeled to obtain a positive energy

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

Queensryche and Megadeth for sure for Ep’s theme but with big differences: our lyrics are easy like 80’s bands and there’s no concept, but in the lyrics I talk about conspiracy. For the music I think the sound is influenced by Ozzy, Dio and Judas Priest

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for? 

None in particular

13. What do you think of your fans?

I have a great respect for fans and metalhead who value what we do and support our music. I believe that metal fans are musically more prepared than fans in other genres.
