Interviews: FORGIVE

On this new occasion, we have had the opportunity to interview the Hardcore band FORGIVE, from France. Check out the interview and follow the band on their FACEBOOK PAGE.

1. Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?

We wanted something short in one word and something that can stay in mind. Then Forgive came naturally.

2. Why did you want to play this genre?

In fact, we really love the emotional part and texts of this genre, this is really expressive no matter if you see it live or you just listen to it.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

We had 2 groups of friends that didn’t knew each others. One in Bourges (FR) and one in Nevers (FR) and we met each other in a show or a bar ... That was pure chance. 

4. Each band member favourite band?

Xavier: Taking Back Sunday

Alban: Blink 182 (with Tom Delonge)

J.C: The Devils Wears Prada

Julien: Nirvana

Guillaume: Defeater

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

Our lives, stories, memories, fears, apprehensions ... And all of theses feelings are impersonated by the characters we create in all our songs. 

6. Where was your last gig?

In Bourges (FR) at « le Nadir ». Home sweet home.

7. Where would you like to act?

Wherever we can.

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

Dereck Archambault from Defeater. 

9. Whom not?

We like everybody (almost). 

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?

We used to be a little bit scared in the beginning but the more we play, the less we are. Our tips would be : Talk, have fun , drink (not to much you got a job to do), share with all the staff and organization and then you can’t be frightened. 

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

Defeater, Touché Amoré, Birds In Row, Worthwhile, Counterparts. 

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

Nothing weird but strange people sometimes. 

13. What do you think of your fans?

Most of our fans are friends honestly. They have always been there and will be we hope.

14. What do you think of our site?

It’s cool to have sites like yours that defend the underground scene like you do and we’re really glad to be part of it now. Thanks a lot.
