Interviews: On Sight

On this new occasion, we have had the opportunity to interview the Hardcore band On Sight from the USA. Check out the interview and follow the band on their FACEBOOK PAGE.

1. Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?

The band name came from our vocalist JT. We had trouble figuring out a name and JT came up with this the first month of us being a band.

2. Why did you want to play this genre?

Hardcore and metal have been a passion for all of us. We've grown up listening to a lot of genres but those two genres are the closest to our hearts. Its what we live and breathe every day. It's about movement, energy, and message. We love it and we always will.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

A lot of us were in previous bands that we've all seen or played with before. We've pretty much known each other since we were teenagers and some shape or form. Eventually, we all came together and started music together.

4. Each band member favorite band?

JT: Trapped Under Ice

Doug: Pantera

Edgar: Hatebreed

Dante: Metallica

Darren: Slayer

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

There is a lot of different things that inspire us to write music. Whether it be something we've experienced in our lives or the music we listened to and grew up with. It could be something we felt emotionally or physically. This new album focuses on all different types of pain someone experiences in there lives whether it be losing a loved one, betrayal, government officials

6. Where was your last gig?

Our last gig was in March in Montclair, NJ. Shout out to the Meatlocker crew we love you. It was a benefit show for our friend's son that had a brain tumor. We ended up raising around 1200 dollars for him. All the love and support for this little fighter was amazing.

7. Where would you like to act?

We are dying to play out of the country.

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

There's a lot of bands we'd love to play with.

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?

Honestly, I personally get it from time to time. But once the music rings out the adrenaline flows and its go time.

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

Metallica, Hatebreed, Incendiary, Terror, Trapped Under Ice, Wu-Tang Clan, Slayer, and many more bands. We have a lot of influences.

13. What do you think of your fans?

We love our fans unconditionally. They support us in so many ways and we couldn't be any happier. We only hope to return the favor.
