Interviews: Vivisectionist

On this new occasion, we have had the opportunity to interview the Deathcore band Vivisectionist, from the USA. Check out the interview and follow the band on their FACEBOOK PAGE.

1. Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?

The band was discussing unit 731 and their doings during World War 2. Vivisection was a big part of their human experimentation. Seemed like a good starting point for a metal bands name. After finding out no other band had taken it we chose to call ourselves Vivisectionist.

2. Why did you want to play this genre?

Ultimately wanted to play this genre to release emotions of anger and seeing people show their horns and bang their fucking head.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

Daniel and Jeff (guitarist) knew each other from a previous band back in 2008 Tyrants Of Deception. With a long search for the right people in the local 803 music scene we found Taylor (vocals) thriving to cement his best friends memory in the scene RIP Evan Tyler (Crowning Astaroth). Then we found Troy (drums) who recently moved down here from New Jersey. And Cameron (bass) we found from a friend that worked at Guitar Center.

Taylor: Job For A Cowboy,

Daniel: The Black Dahlia Murder

Troy: The Acacia Strain

Cameron: Incubus

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

The human race and its decline, and events in the world.

6. Where was your last gig?

The last gig was at Bunkys Tavern in Gaston South Carolina.

7. Where would you like to act?

Palladium (Hollywood), The Masquerade (Atlanta)

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

The Last Ten Seconds Of Life, Polyphia, Lamb Of God, Through The Eyes Of The Dead

9. Whom not?

Nickleback

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?

Sometimes... and my advice, chug some whisky and have some dope stage performance.

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

Any "sumeriancore" band Within The Ruins, Carnifex (older), Veil Of Maya, Whitechapel (old), Traitors, Oceano

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

A blow job, to play a fucking Seinfeld bass line, if we could take them home during a show
