Interviews: Pulse

On this new occasion, we have had the opportunity to interview the  Cyber Metal band, Pulse, from Austria. Check out the interview and follow the band on their FACEBOOK PAGE.

1. Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?

I am a huge Pink Floyd fan. And so it was clear the my Band’s name is PULSE. named after their famous live album.

2. Why did you want to play this genre?

I think it was in early 2000 as I listened for the first time to the band PAIN and its genius cd REBIRTH. I absolutely fell in love with this album, and I decided to create such a kind of music too. At this time Black Metal didn’t fill me out like the years before. I needed something new. Pulse was born.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

I just knew the Drummer. I know him since I start playing guitar because he was an employee in our local music store. the other members were found over the years in our scene.

4. Each band member favorite band?

We are all still in the Black and Death Metal genre. To pick up a favorite band is really difficult. My all-time favorite band is still Pink Floyd and Queen. But our Metal Influences are in Bands like Deicide, Bolt Thrower, Pain, Samaell and a lot of Old school Metal bands.

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

The most inspiration I get is from movie or game soundtracks and of course the music we are all still listening to.

6. Where was your last gig?

The last gig we played was in 2019 at the Wave Gothic Meeting in Leipzig.

7. Where would you like to act?

We will play anywhere we can play, but it would be really great to play on events like Wacken or something like that.

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

Peter Tägtgren of Pain for sure

9. Whom not?

There is no one

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?

We are all still a bit nervous before going on stage, but after the first song, everything is absolutely amazing. I think it is part of the business and it would be very sad if you don’t have such feelings before the gig. A tip could be to enjoy every single moment before the concert and to concentrate on the luck you have to present your music in front of an audience.

Pain, Samael and Pink Floyd

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

It was not weird but very exciting. a female fan asked me to sign on her breasts.

13. What do you think of your fans? 

They are absolutely amazing and we are blessed to have those fans.

14. What do you think of our site?

I am so happy that your site exists and you still support the music scene and genre.
