Interviews: Swim The Current

On this new occasion, we have had the opportunity to interview the  Alternative Rock band, Swim The Current, from the USA. Check out the interview and follow the band on their FACEBOOK PAGE.

1. Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?

Greg Antine: The name Swim the Current just came to me one day.. I basically grew up on the beach and the ocean has been a big part of my life from a young age.

2. Why did you want to play this genre?

Greg Antine: This Genre of music is what I know. It just fulfills me.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

Greg Antine: Swim the Current is a solo music project

4. Each band member favourite band?

Greg Antine: Deftones, Quicksand, Hum, Failure.

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

Greg Antine: The sound of music inspires me to write songs.

6. Where was your last gig?

Greg Antine: My last gig was in jersey city with my other band Hengine

7. Where would you like to act?

Greg Antine: I always love to perform at local venues (The Saint,The Pet Shop, The Stone Pony

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

Greg Antine: I would love to tour with the Deftones

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?

Greg Antine: I love performing on stage...Just get up there and be you.

11. What bands have inspired you the most? 

Greg Antine: Hardcore bands from the 90s

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

Greg Antine:  I cant recall

13. What do you think of your fans?

Greg Antine: My fans are Great!! They truly believe in my solo project Swim the Current
