Track By Trackls: The Tronautas - In Doom We Trust (2020)
1. Neilberry Drive:
Inspired by the written work of Neil Gaiman, the mood of the instruments evokes that moment when we enter an augmented reality. It’s the calm before the storm that is coming.
And it’s going to hit hard.
2. Emptiness Inside:
Taking on the always-present themes of the end times, the lyrics explore current events from an existentialist perspective, focusing on social division, environmental collapse and war. And yes, the chorus is a play on Jean Paul Sartre’s quote.
3. Mechanics Of Fear:
Based on the Ray Bradbury novel “Fahrenheit 451”, this song focuses on the way fear is used to separate us as a species, to control our actions and how we are on the edge of collapse due to all those scare tactics’ effectiveness.
4. The Spark:
The eye of the storm brings back the calm, even if for a little while, for the storm has not ended, and the worse is yet to come.
Take this time to think about what you’ve done.
5. She Flies:
Dedicated to all women who throughout history have been persecuted, tortured and murdered for the sole reason of being.
We are the children of the witches you didn’t burn.
6. Lisbet Salander:
All words taken from quotes of the titular character of the novel The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo by Stieg Larsson, a book that delves on the abuse of women.
The lyrics and music explore and represent Lisbet’s psychology and motives.
7. Mantra:
A link from the lower to the higher level of consciousness, an extended and open invitation from our body to the universe, a merging of emotions and feelings beyond our thoughts, a wordless prayer in the only language we know: music.
