Interviews: Nehoda

On this new occasion, we have had the opportunity to interview the  Rock band, Nehoda, from the USA. Check out the interview and follow the band on their FACEBOOK PAGE.

1. Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?

Nehoda is both my last name and Czech for accident. We thought this would be a great band name as it is both unique and also our meeting as a band was accidental as well.

2.Why did you want to play this genre?

We do not choose the music that we play in Nehoda. We go with whatever we feel and however it comes out. With that being said….I have always been drawn to great storytelling and loud Rock and Roll.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

We had mutual friends, but our friendships definitely blossomed after becoming a band.

4. Each band member favorite band?

Patrick - It is a tie Nirvana, Tom Petty, and Pink Floyd 

Grayson - Soundgarden

Jeremy - The Beatles

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

Life experiences inspire me to write songs and poetry. If I have not felt the feeling myself, I struggle with creating that feeling or emotion through music.

6. Where was your last gig?

Our last gigs were at Dee’s Country Cocktails in Madison, TN and Betty’s in Nashville.

7. Where would you like to act?

All over the world!

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

We would love to play with Neil Young and Crazy Horse, Foo Fighters, Smashing Pumpkins, Jack White, Wild Powwers, Hookerfight,Thelma and The Sleaze….the list goes on! We would play with anyone! We just love to gig!

9. Whom not?

Anyone preaching fear, hate, misogyny, homophobia, or racism. All are welcome and safe at our shows…if a band changes that…then we are not going to play with them.

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?

Stage fright affects everyone I believe. I know Ringo Starr said that he still feels like he is about to throw up before each show. But once he steps foot on the stage it all goes away. I believe the secret is just embracing that energy and releasing it on the stage after you start to play.

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

Nirvana, Soundgarden, Smashing Pumpkins, Bob Dylan, Johnny Cash, Pink Floyd, Chuck Berry, Parliament Funkadelic, Jimi Hendrix…..

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

My sweaty bandana after a show.

13. What do you think of your fans?

We love our fans and are grateful for the support they give us!

14. What do you think of our site?

We think the site is great! Thank you very much for having us.
