Behind The Artworks: Eric Francis - Under A Fake Sky (2020)

The artwork for Under a Fake Sky depicts exactly what the name describes: an illustration of the sky. It is designed to look like it could be real, but it is pretty obviously not. I was inspired by a view that I saw driving in the mountains in which the night sky was so blue that it looked photoshopped. I chose this album name and artwork because I created this album from my home while in quarantine. Stuck at home in suburban NY, I am unable to see the scenic views that are my favorite places to visit. Instead, I’m forced to view pictures and videos.

I created this album artwork myself. The Eric Francis logo was created by Kyle Anderson (Brand of Sacrifice, Earthshatter, The Afterimage)
