Interviews: Mick Blankenship

On this new occasion, we have had the opportunity to interview the Hard Rock artist, Mick Blankenship, from the USA. Check out the interview and follow the band on their FACEBOOK PAGE.

1.Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?

I used to use a "band name" but I am the sole writer of my music and driving force behind it so, I dropped the band name and just went with my own name in 2017

2.Why did you want to play this genre?

Its what I write naturally. I grew up on influences like Pantera, Alice in Chains and Queensryche

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

I hire musicians to help perform my music and that can vary from show to show

4. Each band member's favourite band?

My favorite current Artist is Brendan Urie

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

Recently it has been the pain and suffering I have been through. I have been through so much damage, I have no idea what "Normal" is

6. Where was your last gig?

My hometown Franklin, Ohio

7. Where would you like to act?

I really want to go back to Club LA in Destin, FL and The Machine Shop in Flint

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

I think Disturbed, Shinedown and Sevendust would be the perfect tour!

9. Whom not?

I'm gonna go with Cardi B... I don't think WAP and mosh pits go together. May be confusing LOL! But hey you never know!

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?

Actually no NEVER... The stage is where I feel the most at home. But I have had doubt that I am "good enough" before. I just absorb the audiences energy and I become one with them.

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

Queensryche, Sevendust, Disturbed, STP

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for? 

Hmmm... I had a girl ask for a lock of my hair. I politely declined LOL

13. What do you think of your fans?

I'm glad they have such poor taste ha! Just kidding, I adore them more than anything. They lift me up and support me through so much. I am NOTHING without them.

14. What do you think of our site? 

I think it's great! I love it when the community sticks together to keep Rock music alive!

Please add me to your playlists! Word of mouth is far more powerful than a record label!
