Interviews: In Dying Eyes

On this new occasion, we have had the opportunity to interview the Metal band, In Dying Eyes, from the USA. Check out the interview and follow the band on their FACEBOOK PAGE.

1.Where did you get the idea for the band name?

The band name was thought up by Dylan after going through several name changes!

2.Why did you want to play this genre?

We play metal because it's our favourite type of music! We play the music that we want to listen to!

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

I (Matt) knew all of the members before the band was formed, but Josh didn’t know each Dylan & Chris prior to the creation of the band.

4. Each band members favorite band?

Matt: Dance Gavin Dance 

Josh: Amon Amarth 

Dylan: Carnifex 

Chris: Bring Me The Horizon

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

We like to draw inspiration from our life experiences. It feels much more genuine to us when we’re writing from within.

6. Where was your last gig? 

Our last gig was in Greensboro, North Carolina at Club Orion for Slices of Death 3. It was a virtual live streamed show, so our audience was at home!

7. Where would you like to perform?

It would have been amazing if we could’ve played at warped tour! It had always been my dream to play warped some day!

8. Whom would you like to perform with?

It is my dream to play with Bring Me The Horizon! They’ve been one of my favourite bands since middle school!

9. Whom not?

I can say that we would play with almost anyone! I can say that the only artist that we would never play with is Blood On The Dance Floor.

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?

I still get stage fright before almost every show. I just tell myself that they came here for me and I can’t fuck this up. That normally snaps me out of it!

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

There are alot but here are a few: Bring Me The Horizon, Avenged Sevenfold, Dance Gavin Dance, Beartooth, Asking Alexandria, Motionless in White, Frank Ocean, Pierce The Veil, The Amity Affliction, Knocked Loose, Architects, Wage War & BlessTheFall

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

That would definitely have to go to the time we were asked to sign breasts.

13. What do you think of your fans?

We love each and every one of them! Without them, we would be nothing! We are super thankful to anyone who listens to us, supports us and buys our merch!!

14. What do you think of our site?

I love it! I love that you are using your platform to promote underground music! 

15. Tell us about the latest track/video:

Our song Pain is about the effects of a toxic relationship long after it has ended. The song illustrates the whirlwind of emotions one would feel after being in such a relationship for so long. The song was written at a dark place in my life and really allowed me to not only move on but let go of the pain! This song is dedicated to those stuck in a loop of trying to care for those who will not return the favor.
