冻伤 ("Frostbite") is a song based on disillusionment and discontent with one's life. Following near-death experiences people often talk about their newfound joy in life, and a desire to live every day to its fullest. But the emotions presented in this song are quite the opposite. Rather, a heavy weight of misery weighs instead, with feelings of fear and heartache discovered instead. This song discusses a passive ambivalence towards life, and a simplistic anhedonic outlook on being alive, "floating" in the arbitrary distinction between a life without joy and death. The song name "Frostbite" is an allusion towards a "frostbitten" heart that grows colder through trauma rather than warmer as many romanticize it to become.
