Interviews: Empire Of Disease
On this new occasion, we have had the opportunity to interview the Metal band, Empire Of Disease from Spain. Check out the interview and follow the band on their FACEBOOK PAGE.
1.Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?
Where did you get the idea for the name of the band, did you plan it or did you come up
with it?
We choose Empire of disease as our name because it defines perfectly the way we see
the society we live in.
A sick society in which everything is moved by interests.
War, corruption, hatred, misery ... do you want us to continue?
2.Why did you want to play this genre?
We have been listening to rock and metal since we were kids, then we grew up and
realized that this was our shit.
Now we just want to spread it more and more.
3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?
Some of us. Sergio, Iban and Ander planned to form a band some time ago but it didn't go
well.
4. Each band member favourite band?
Pintxo Wayewta: Pantera.
Iban Hernando: I don't have a particular favorite band. But it could be any thrash / groove
bands.
Gorka Díez: Those styles what I have heard the most.
Ander: There are many, it depends on the genre I'm interested in the most at the moment.
Now it could be something like Gojira, Rivers of Nihil, Infant annihilator…
Sergio Godoy: Animals as Leaders.
5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?
Society, historical events, moods and experiences.
6. Where was your last gig?
In Eibar Gaztetxea, (Basque Country), it was in January of this year, we will give some
more gigs to present the new album before the end of the year and take 2022 with
strength.
7. Where would you like to act?
Well, in different countries and big metal or rock festivals.
Going out on the road is always exciting, knowing new places, good people and sharing
good moments on stage.
8. Whom would you like to feature with?
It would be a lot of bands hahaha, We are missing lines to be able to name all.
9. Whom not?
We don't mind, We don't have too many enemies hahaha.
10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat
that?
Until now, none of us has suffered from stage fright, maybe those moments when you are
nervous before the show but nothing unusual. And our advice is to close your eyes, focus,
believe that you are the fucking Lemmy Killmister and do your best. From there everything
flows.
11. What bands have inspired you the most?
Many bands. It depends on the time or the mood.
12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?
Sing a CD, we found it strange when he asked for it, we are not used to it hahaha
But it was amazing.
13. What do you think of your fans?
They are the fucking masters, without their support we could not have recorded this album
or grow as a band.
We are incredibly grateful to them.
14. What do you think of our site?
The site is fresh and very intuitive to use, it's a nice place to get interesting information
about many underground metal bands and more, the way you give visibility to the
underground music is amazing and a great way to make this community grow.
It's an honor to be here.
15. Something add?
If you are from Bilbao you are invited to our next concerts, thank you very much for this
interview, we hope to be part of many more interviews like this.
Take care and keep doing such an amazing work for this community.
