Interviews: LENNE

On this new occasion, we have had the opportunity to interview the Metal band, LENNE from the USA. Check out the interview and follow the band on their FACEBOOK PAGE.

1.Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?

It was definitely NOT planned. As a matter of fact, it was one of the last things we decided on. It was just "the project" or "the thing with Lenny" for a while. Morgan finally said, "Let's just call it "Lenny". We went with the alternate spelling"LeNNe" for many reasons but mostly to distinguish ourselves from, say Lenny Kravitz and his album Lenny. It also has better visual symmetry. lol.

2.Why did you want to play this genre?

We never actually made the decision to sound a certain way. All the songs were recorded as we wrote them. So, our sound developed pretty gradually & organically. Some of the vocal themes were getting heavy so our sound kept getting a bit heavier too as it evolved.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

We met a few years back and did some gigging and other studio projects together before we started LeNNe.

4. Each band member's favourite band?

Ozzy/Sabbath, GnR, The Doors, Metallica, Alica in Chains, Pantera, Candlebox, Black Label Society

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

Life events, mostly. Other music and arts.

6. Where was your last gig?

We have yet to play out in support of our new music but played unofficially for charity earlier this year at Jabber Jaws in Allentown, PA.

7. Where would you like to act?

Sunset Strip.

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

Metallica. The Rolling Stones.

9. Whom not?

We'll play with anyone.

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?

Every single time. Best advice is practice, practice, practice. It will lead to confidence on stage when you know your stuff without thinking about it.

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

Pretty much same as our favorites.

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

To play Alan Jackson.

13. What do you think of your fans?

They're just extended family.
