Interviews: Nocturnal Hollow

On this new occasion, we have had the opportunity to interview the Death Metal band, Nocturnal Hollow from Venezuela. Check out the interview and follow the band on their FACEBOOK PAGE.

1.Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?

I was reading a book by Fernando Pessoa and there was a phrase that said "First it's a sound that makes another sound, in the nocturnal hollow of things" so it caught my attention and I took that name for the band.

2.Why did you want to play this genre?

I like honest and simple things ... and that for me is death metal, from a very young age I ventured into extreme metal... I feel it as part of my personal identity

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

Yes, we play in several bands, it is a friendship of more than 30 years.. long time!

4. Each band member's favourite band? 

We share almost the same tastes, definitely, Slayer, Exodus, Possessed ... going through King Diamond, Black Sabbath, the Beatles .. and more

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

It is a simple question but in the end complicated to explain.. so that it can be understood, I think that all the music that for many years I have listened to, just come together in inspiration to compose ... it flows very naturally ... very easy luckily

6. Where was your last gig?

Caracas - Venezuela December 2020

7. Where would you like to act?

Definitely tour USA and Europe ... little venues full of a lot of energy

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

A dream that I wish come true is to open to Mercyful Fate (Reunion) ... another would be to play with Entombed (Original) but unfortunately it's vocalist Petrov passed away, very sad indeed.

A non-metal band

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?

Never, not even in the early days ... it was always a torrent of positive emotions that gave me enough confidence to destroy the stage ... advice, let the metal flow and have its healing and power effect .. nothing will beat that

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

Black Sabbath - Slayer (early days) - Metallica (early days)

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

Some random guy telling me that his girlfriend would like to meet me after the concert to intimate. 

13. What do you think of your fans?

The best.. they empower us to do what we do

14. What do you think of our site?

Very very cool, very professional... emanate a lot and good of energy, impossible to get bored... """!!
