Interviews: Aseity

On this new occasion, we have had the opportunity to interview the Metal band, Aseity from the USA. Check out the interview and follow the band on their FACEBOOK PAGE.

1.Where did you get the idea for the band name, was it planned or came out just like that?

Monica Soe: It just kind of happened. I was searching for cool biblical words, but all the "cool" words were taken, and I just kind of stumbled across it.

2.Why did you want to play this genre?

Monica Soe: I've always loved classical music, and metal. I worked at a local music venue as a teen, so metal has just always been natural for me.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

Robert Volkoff: Nope! We met online through Music Mentors Online, and I became part of the project just after Monica formed it.

4. Each band member's favorite band?

Monica Soe: Evanescence is my all-time favorite.

Robert Volkoff: Mine is Phinehas!

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

Monica Soe: Amy Lee, Veil of Maya, Ellie Goulding, and Icon for Hire, as far as musical inspiration goes. My other inspiration comes from my past experiences.

Robert Volkoff: My personal connection to music and life experiences.

6. Where was your last gig?

Monica Soe: We have not played live just yet, but plan to in the future.

7. Where would you like to perform?

Monica Soe: Honestly, I'd like to perform all over the world.

Robert Volkoff: Any good show!

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

Monica Soe: Amy Lee, Veil of Maya, Architects, Imminence, We Came As Romans, the list is pretty long but those are my first big choices.

9. Who not?

Monica Soe: Pretty much anyone who either does not want us, or is not in the metal/rock genre.

10. Have any of you ever suffered from stage fright? Any tips for beginners on how to beat that?

Monica Soe: Yes I have, and honestly just be yourself and have fun.

Robert Volkoff: As long as you are in your element, you will be fine.

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

Robert Volkoff: Demon Hunter, Thousand Foot Krutch, Phinehas, Killswitch Engage and Fit For A King.

Monica Soe: For me, mostly Amy Lee.

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

Monica Soe: I've been asked on a few dates, so that's always kind of weird.

Robert Volkoff: I had a fan ask me for my underwear, and they wanted it signed.

13. What do you think of your fans?

Robert Volkoff: They are my family and my biggest inspiration for continuing my path as a musician.

Monica Soe: They're all super amazing and they're the reason why I will always continue doing music.

14. What do you think of our site?

Robert Volkoff: I think it's really cool how you highlight up-and-coming artists.
