Interviews: Dark From Day One

On this new occasion, we have had the opportunity to interview the Metal/Rock band, Dark From Day One from the USA. Check out the interview and follow the band on their FACEBOOK PAGE.

1.Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?

DFDO red beard: I was actually reading an interview on Scooter Ward the vocalist for a band called cold and he was talking about his sister and how she got diagnosed with cancer and he said they were in the dark from day one. So I came up with a concept, in the beginning, we are born into this earth innocent not knowing the pressures of stress nor the evils that humanity is capable of our only hope is that our life is never anything short of extraordinary therefore we are in the dark from day one

2.Why did you want to play this genre?

DFDO Red Beard: It was just something that came naturally. The original idea was to make the most melodic heavy music possible...To become Cinematic rock

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

DFDO Red Beard: I knew all the members prior to asking them to join DFDO

4. Each band member's favourite band?

DFDO Red beard: Nirvana

Truman: BREAKING BENJAMIN

Rob: BRING MY THE HOZION

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

DFDO Red Beard: Life experiences video games movies nature we draw inspiration from everywhere

6. Where was your last gig?

DFDO RED BEARD: Hartman Arkansas Flux festival

7. Where would you like to perform?

DFDO Red beard: Sonisphere, Europe, and all major festivals

8. Whom would you like to perform with?

DFDO RED BEARD: Tool is one of the very few we haven’t got to share the stage with yet.

9. Whom not?

DFDO RED BEARD: We are happy to perform with any band there’s not a single van I can think of that we wouldn’t perform with. Lol

10. Any of you ever suffered from stage fright? Any tips for beginners on how to beat that?

DFDO Red beard: I think everybody does a little bit normal for me I have to go P 50 times before I take the stage. But when I hit the stage all the nervousness goes away for me. Any advice I can give is just get up there and do what you do and kick-ass people will see that you’re genuine and real and they will gravitate towards it.

DFDO Red beard: NIRVANA,Tool,KORN,P.O.D.

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

DFDO Red Beard: In 2011 we were playing a festival with avenge sevenfold three days grace and many others and a dad of the kid came up to me and asked me if I ever get a strange request for signing stuff and I said of course he said would you say my son shoe and I told him yes absolutely and when I went to where his son was he was paralyzed from the neck down in a wheelchair whenever I went to sinus stuff it was like he get it got up and wanted to walk that’s powerful.

13. What do you think of your fans?

DFDO red beard: Our fans are truly the best they have supported this band for many years through the thick and the thin and the member lineup changes you can ask for a more loyal supportive group of people then enable us to do what we love to do.

14. What do you think of our site?

DFDO RED BEARD: I love it!!! Very easy to navigate and looks like you were giving a lot of artists a platform to share their music with the masses. Great job keep up the awesome work
