Interviews: SURVIVE

On this new occasion, we have had the opportunity to interview the  Metal band SURVIVE from Japan. Check out the interview and follow the band on their  FACEBOOK PAGE. 

1.Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?

When I gave this name, I personally had a very disappointing event. With so many bands being formed and forgotten, we chose this name with the aim of becoming a strong band with the will to never die.

2.Why did you want to play this genre?

It sounds like metal, I'm obsessed with heavy guitars. After that, I can't think of any other sound, and this sound feels very good on stage. Always excited. i love it!!

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

The bassist Sinjilow has long been like a friend and brother to me. I've known Goro, on drums, for 20 years. I met Gaku, on guitar, in recent years, but he's also the most genius, my brother, this member is like an important family to us.

4. Each band member favourite band?

Nemo: Sepultura, Soulfly, Metallica, motorhead, machine head, behemoth, venom, Bathory, mayhem, Darkthrone.

Sinjilow: iron maiden, annihilator, Kreator, overkill, testament, death angel, slayer

Goro: sepultura, pantera, slayer

Gaku: Nothing to answer here

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

I usually write the riffs for the songs, and then Gaku and I arrange the riffs to make the songs. I'm always influenced by the sound I listen to from time to time. After that, I get inspiration from the scenery, buildings, and various things when I toured in Europe and Russia.

6. Where was your last gig?

I haven't played since last winter at an event at a small club in Tokyo. I can't wait to go back on stage.

7. Where would you like to act?

We'd want to do another tour in Europe. We have a lot of fans in Russia, so we'd like to return there for a new tour. We have a lot of passionate fans so we'd want to meet everyone soon.

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

I'd love to play with Behemoth again! After that, Machine Head, I also admire Trivium because they play live with the awesome sound.

9. Whom not?

...with our ex manager... Just kidding, lol, but yeah, honestly, I wouldn't want to play with him...

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?

Everyone is scared at first. But if you believe in yourself and think, you're the best star in the world. Then you are definitely a star.

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

Metallica, without them I wouldn't have entered this world. Most important band to me.

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

There are many polite fans. So I've never met a fan who wants strange things.

13. What do you think of your fans?

Fans always think of us as a fateful community. They will wait for years even in remote places. That's a great thing for the band.
