Interviews: Without End
On this new occasion, we have had the opportunity to interview the Metal/Hard Rock band, Without End from the USA. Check out the interview and follow the band on their FACEBOOK PAGE.
1.Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?
Well at first we just wanted something that sounded cool and looked good on a flyer, but after some thought we decided it should have some meaning behind it. So after several days of brainstorming and two pages full of names, we decided on Without End because it had a ring to it plus we knew we would never stop writing and playing music, even if the band didn’t work out in the end.
2.Why did you want to play this genre?
We didn’t necessarily choose the genre. Honestly, this is really just what we grew up listening to and we love it. We feel that our genre of music has a little something for everybody. I’d say between guitar harmonies, vocal harmonies, brutal screams, breakdowns, and shredding solos, that you will probably find at least one song that interests you even if you don’t particularly like our genre of music.
3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?
Chris and I grew up together, his family is like a second family to me. Stevie responded to an ad we put up online looking for a drummer. We didn’t know him prior to the band getting together but we found out he was a few years younger than us and went to the same high school we did. Steven and I are neighbors and funny story, we had seen each other walking around our complex tons of times before but we only said hi in passing. One day he saw me carrying in my guitar case and asked if I wanted to jam. I said yes, later that night he came over to jam and we ended up being up until like 3 in the morning playing music and two days later he was in our music video for creature of habit. And we’ve been going strong with this line-up ever since.
4. Each band member's favourite band?
Alex – Bullet For My Valentine
Chris – Rammstein
Steven – Northlane
Stevie – A Day To Remember
5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?
I honestly just write based on my own experiences and sometimes what the people around me like my friends and family are going through.
6. Where was your last gig?
Our last gig was in June 2017 at the Diesel in Chesterfield, Michigan. Too long ago! We are definitely looking forward to the fall and being back on the stage again!
7. Where would you like to act?
It is our dream to play Download festival one day at Donington Park!
8. Whom would you like to feature with?
I would love to feature with Matt Tuck from Bullet For My Valentine or Jacoby Shaddix from Papa Roach. I think that would be cool.
9. Whom not?
Nobody that I can think of. I think I’d be pretty open to working with anyone that is passionate about what they do and really digs our band.
10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?
I used to have the worst stage fright of anybody I’ve ever met. My tips would be to not worry so much about what everyone thinks about you. Just get up there and have a good time, that is what people are there for. Also the more you do it, the easier it becomes.
11. What bands have inspired you the most?
Definitely, Bullet For My Valentine has inspired me the most, but other bands that inspired me were Metallica, Pantera, Ozzy, all the way to A Day To Remember, Breaking Benjamin, and Motionless In White.
12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?
Nothing too crazy really. At least so far haha
13. What do you think of your fans?
Our fans are great! Without them, what we do wouldn’t mean anything and we would be wasting our time.
14. What do you think of our site?
I think the site is awesome! I love that your site gives local musicians a chance to promote their music on a bigger platform.
15. Something you'd like to add?
I just want to say thank you to breathingthecore.com for this interview and helping others get to know us better. And thank you from the bottom of our hearts to all of the fans and everyone who supports us and what we do. We love you all!
